1:15-2:00    HOW THE 1859 GOLD RUSH PUT COLORADO ON THE MAP AND INFLUENCED  COLORADO MAPS OF TODAY: Wesley Brown, CMS member, co-founder  of St. Charles Capital and the Rocky Mountain Map Society. Former member Denver Library Commission and advisor to the Library of Congress Geography and Map Division.

2:00-2:45    THE MYSTERIES OF THE MISSING MAP: The discovery of the lost and only known copy of the 1980 Congressional Boundary Map of the GGNRA and its revelations presented by George Clyde, Attorney, TV documentary journalist, America’s Cup Yacht Racing rules advisor. PRE-PUBLICATION REPRINT

2:45-3:45   BREAK AND RELOCATION TO THE SUTRO LIBRARY on the eighth floor. Haleh Motiey, library manager, will conduct a guided tour including an exact replica of the huge 1611 Vanden Keere world map  (Shirley #274 page 296). The original and only known copy is in the Sutro Vault.
